Based on the upgraded rendition of the Joint Strike Fighter motor that was available in the first, the continuation Covert Strike moves the player to the more outwardly astounding areas in Russia and the South China Sea, where a maverick military general attempted to authorize an arrangement to fire an assume responsibility for a destructive combo of EMP bomb and space-commendable rocket framework.

OFF is widely praised for its in-depth and complex story, its rich and immersing environment, and its memorable characters. Reviewer: Beakman - favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite - July 20, Subject: Worth playing, worth preserving Off is a strange, surreal JRPG where you guide an entity known as "The Batter" on his goal to "purify his world". What follows is a bizarre journey through a strange land that may not be so different from our own. The game is not terribly long, but has some secrets to find if you'd like to explore it fully.

For a start, try revisiting an area after having defeated its' guardian. Also, the main battle theme, Pepper Steak yes, that's the track name is surprisingly catchy. Reviewer: SpaceCowboy - favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite - December 24, Subject: Great! Yes, that was the first time I personally realised the truth behind everything. Also I agree; he is the best character to me as well. I picked him during my first playthrough too in the end, because I couldn't handle the other option.

A question to you though, have you collected the five elements? Yeah, I found those. I'm surprised nothing ever asked me for them I was definitely expecting one of the final rooms to.

The zone 0 one was pretty tough though, and so was 3 with the nasty random enemies. I did go back and take the original choice just to see what would happen, but I did prefer the Judge ending.

Seeing the "true form" of a terrible werewolf-raptor beast was really well done. Other parts that stuck out to me as cool were the scribbled hallway should've been more of these! I didn't really suspect everything until the "white-out" happened, despite knowing there was more to it than what I was seeing.

My only big complaint, though, was that it kinda contradicted itself and never made clear… what was up with the ghosts in the first place. Obviously, they weren't part of the happy world - not only that, but in zone 1, Dedan the tall guy was a huge jerk.

I wanted to chalk that up to altered perception, but there certainly wasn't any perception issue with Hugo. Poor Hugo. In any case, despite those things, I had a good time with this and suggest more people to play it!

Might wanna check that. About the elements, I think you either forgot one or didn't do what's necessary for them to work. I'll write you in the PM what you have to do to make a use of them. Who did this soundtrack btw? Was really impressed by it, very Ulver or Akira yamaoka.

This was a great game man, thanks very much for the translation, I really enjoyed it. Definitely gonna be quite thought provoking in my head for a long time! Does anyone know how to fix this? This game is great, by the way, so thanks for translating it. And hmmm… It means that an image is missing; you probably accidentally left it out. Maybe you should try to download it again and copy your old save into the new folder. The same thing happened to me when I got to the part, although the error message looks a bit different in mine.

I tried downloading it again and the same thing happened to me. What should I do? If you need help with that bit btw I got stuck there for a while too, but when you go to the input screen for entering the code, take specific note of the shape of the silouetted character also featured on the screen! Oh, Pepper Steak? Speaking of the soundtrack, the whole thing has been published by Alias Conrad Coldwood in a. RAR file, with extended versions of most songs within!

Here it is! Everything will be fine in the next version. I tested it here and it worked fine, though. Thanks a lot for translating this game. As a French, I was pained to be unable to share it with English-speaking friends, and it is now possible thanks to you.

There are some rare translation errors here and there, I believe, but nothing too shocking. I found a crash bug in the fifth chapter. Details of the crash below:. When I try to interact with the first interactive thing I can find which is on a wall in a room with a bed , the game crashes with this error message:.

Agh, this old error again… Every time I played this part the image was displayed correctly. Seems like it happens on Vista only…. I cannot fix that one, sorry. However I now know a possible reason for it…. That way I got a fix for this bug, though remove accent letters like that and replace them in filenames, as well as register these changes in the game!

Thanks for pointing that out! Posted almost 10 years ago edited almost 10 years ago. I needed to use Character Map to get the correct character, but it worked.

Question about whether I screwed myself out of one of the endings:. I got a certain item in Zone 3 and gave it to someone an act which is optional , but in The Room, that item was mentioned. Is it needed for at least one of the possible endings?
