Tripple and Mbetti Like Loading WuWei Posted October 2, The tipping point for mass adoption of blockchain is fast approaching: 45 percent of those surveyed said they are already in production, piloting or close to signing with a blockchain provider. Growing blockchain connectivity facilitates digital asset adoption: 85 percent of those using blockchain in production and 90 percent of those quickly moving to production are either extremely or very interested in using digital assets as a form of payment.

Each student will also be allotted a dedicated blockchain wallet. All the course credits earned by the candidate are issued by the university into the wallets. Thus, the entire record of the college is distributed over a wide network [3].
Once the details are updated, the student also receives a notification of the same which can be crosschecked by the candidate. Thus, just by providing the blockchain address, a student can show the recruiter the transcript which rules out the need for a hard copy.
Let us assume that a candidate needs the degree certificate to apply for a particular job. Pairwise relationships are added to the ledgers after verification of the DID. This is after the consensus with the other nodes of the blockchain network which are the trust groups. If a particular record is being tampered in the network, that block will not be linked with other nodes in the network.
The entire privacy is preserved through DID. These decentralized digital identities and Identity hubs can allow the students to access to their own data at a click of the button with reduced risk.
The pictorial representation of the proposed system is shown below in Fig 2. DID is not the self-sovereign identity of the candidate. It is used as the id card for college access. The trust group will check whether the id card is not counterfeit. Fig 2. Proposed Block chain Based Education System Once the consensus is reached, the connection can be accepted and information can be shared.
The candidate thus will create a connection with the office with a new DID. Now the transcript is embedded with the DID. The results will be delivered to our members through a collection of reports, webinars, videos, infographics, and datasets over the next months.
However, given the urgency of taking action on our recommendations now, many of these results will be made available to the public here. Our report exploring the challenges, opportunities, and recommendations for blockchain technology during the COVID crisis is now published! Please fill out the form below to access the report:. How can blockchain create more flexible, adaptive, and transparent supply chains to manage distorted demand, hoarding practices, and increased online purchases?
Our white papers on asset chains and the new wave of manufacturing, as well as case studies on track-and-trace systems, transportation, and end-user purchases, provide insight for those looking to transform their supply chains during this crisis.
Our research into the healthcare industry demonstrates the value of electronic health records, pharmaceutical tracking, clinical administration, IoT health data tracking, and open-science research networks, all based off of blockchain — and all crucial to address the data cracks in the healthcare system that COVID has exposed. Explore the ways that blockchain can influence and power the shifts in regulation, intellectual property, and Big Data governance caused by the COVID crisis, and how to move out of this crisis collectively and fairly.
COVID is a data problem, and an integral piece to solving this problem is the creation of a self-sovereign identity system.
Our reports on blockchain-based identity systems and higher education dive into the concept of creating a digital wallet network to store and share individual identity data, within a consent architecture that provides the framework for an individual to own their data and consent to its use.
